Product Review: Bounce Protein Energy Balls

November 26, 2018

I keep seeing these everywhere (and they seem to have stuck around for a while) – in supermarkets, news agencies, airports, sports stores…. so it was time to take a proper look and let ya’ll know what I think!

Per serve (the whole thing), they have: 160 calories, 8.6g of protein, 7.2g fat (2.8g saturated), 11.7g carbohydrate (7.2g sugar), 6.8g fibre and 92mg sodium.

When looking at the ‘per 100g’ column, we can say that Bounce Protein Energy Balls are:
– high in protein
– high in total fat and saturated fat
– high in sugar
– high in fibre
– moderate in sodium

They are made in the USA.

Overall, a pretty poor choice, despite being marketed as a seemingly quick and healthy snack option. My view: Pick something else! – how about a plain yoghurt and a piece of fruit 🙂
